How to drink 2 beers for the “cost” of 1

My wife and I have a difference of opinion on how much beer I should be "allowed" to drink. I think that 2 or 3 a day is reasonable, while she thinks 1 or ZERO per day is more appropriate. This situation was causing a lot of stress in our marriage. Either I would drink whatever I wanted, and she would get PO'd, or I would cave on this issue and feel resentful towards her. However, I found a better way to deal with the situation.
My wife claims that she can tell whether I've had 1 or 2 beers by differences in the way I look and act after drinking two. However, I've found from experimentation that she can't really tell the difference, she just thinks she can. My solution is a "WIN-WIN": I get to drink 2 beers like I want, and she gets to feel good that I only drank one.
How does it work? Simple!!! Each night on my way home from work, I buy 2 beers (current favorite: Steel Reserve). I leave 1 in my Man Cave on the way in the house and put the other in the refrigerator in the kitchen. After dinner, I use the 1 in the fridge to make a tomato beer. After a few sips, I start on a household project that involves repeated trips to the Man Cave for tools, cleaning supplies, etc. Each trip to the Man Cave, I take a big slug from the beer I left out there. I can finish it in about 3 or 4 trips.
After finishing the beer from the Man Cave, I sit down and talk with my wife while I slowly finish the tomato beer. Then, I finish working on whatever project I started, put my stuff away, and call it a day. She's happy because she saw me drink only one. I'm happy because I actually got to drink two. We're both happy that I got something done around the house. Like I said, a WIN-WIN situation.
